Our Mission

Camaraderie, Companionship, Competitiveness

With the creation of YXEFRFF we aimed to give our co-workers something postitive to look forward to that would increase morale and encourage physical activity in the workplace. Through YXEFRFF we created a feeling of friendly competition, inter-agency comradery and assisted in building and fostering positive relationships among Saskatoon's first responders.

Connection and Relationships

Along with raising money for charity, our goal was to create an opportunity for our Saskatoon Police, Fire, and Paramedics to build our community in a positive way. We feel it is an honour for all of us to serve the Saskatoon community each and every day.

Through the YXE FRFF, the members of the community get to see and engage with their local first responders in a fun, positive and exciting atmosphere!

With our first two years having been such a success, we are excited to continue to build YXEFRFF, maintain, and grow our community connections as well as the relationships and bonds that were created between our first responders.

Fundraising Efforts

The first responder community is large and impacts many people, physically and mentally. In 2022, our goal was to raise money towards a charity that we trust in helping our local first responders. We were fortunate enough to raise 25,000 dollars to donate to OSI-CAN, Saskatchewan branch.

OSI-CAN's mission is to inspire hope and contribute to the continuous well-being of first responders, veterans, and community support workers. The YXE FRFF was able to contribute money to help treat local first responders recovering from work related PTSD.

In 2023, we wanted to increase our fundraising total and split our fundraising efforts between two local charities. We were able to raise 40,000 dollars and split the money between OSI-CAN and KidSport Saskatoon. The values of KidSport align with the YXE FRFF as we all grew up playing sports and believe all kids deserve the chance to be a part of a team in their community.

In two years, the YXE First Responders Fitness Festival with help from our athletes and community, were able to raise 65,000 dollars.
